Hi everyone, how are you guys doing?

I am more than happy to start this new year with this nice edition, but before starting talking about what we've prepared for this I would like to talk about something that I have always wondered about guitarists in general.

I have never written this section to talk about themes that go beyond the guitar world such as ways to reduce thee poverty, hunger, problems of the world and etc. However, I am not going to comment any of these themes this month, but a problem about the guitar world. I have been playing guitar for several years and I have always been in touch with guitar players, and for consequence I've been in touch with the most envious people in music world.I can't understand, why a guitar player generally doesn't support other guitar player, have you ever wondered about it?

Sometimes I see people listening to other people music just looking for defects and forgetting about the good points of the artist, is there any problem in doing a compliment or this is going to offend yourself, Mr.EGO? I am not telling people to listen to music of bad quality and to pretend that this is good just to be cool, but sometimes this kind of person likes of some points and doesn't eulogize because this person thinks that something like that is going to reduce himself/herself if compared to the other.Maybe it is a problem much bigger not only in the guitar world, I think it is much more harder to say "I Love You" than the ordinary "I hate you".So stay focused in what you believe for you music, but don't forget that noticing and eulogizing the good points of other fellow musician is the a new way to learn and to become a much better musician and person.

Backing to the edition, we have as usual great columns for your technique, so don't forget to warm up!

We have a check up featuring GNI Strings and a review about Allan Holdsworth concert in England.

The cover for this edition is a great friend of mine and one of most the intelligent persons I have already met in my entire life , Ciro Visconti who talked about important things in his interview and you also can check a review for his band's cd in the review session.

Thank you so much for your time,

Rafael
