Richie Kotzen has been reaching , day by day, the status of one of the most respected rock guitar player/singer all over the world and not
for less the new album named "The return of the mother's head family reunion" is an evidence of that. The tittle obviously reminds us one of his
best albums and not only a memory, but all those rock'n roll mood from more than ten years ago is back added to a much more confident and experient Richie.

"Go Faster" opens the Cd with a bang, full of melody and powerful, makes us able to notice Richie's bluesy voice added to the nice backing vocal of his daugther, August, who should definetely follow her dad's footsteps , Richie also comes up with a really nice solo for this track which mixes good taste
and shredding.

"Feed my head" starts with an excellent riff, played in an extremly good taste guitar tone. All the voice melody and the chorus reminds me the best from the first "Mother Head Family Reunion" and if you are a guitar nerd, I am sure this solo is going to blow your mind. In the following sequence comes the unexpected good "Fooled Again".

A nice guitar work is noticed along all the album, but mainly in tracks such as "Can you feel it" , "You Know That" and the full of swing "Dust" we can see clearly the several and different influences of Richie which makes his playing style totally unique. "Chase it" is a ballad which confirms us all the "Hit Maker" side of Richie.

"Faith" has the most touching lyrics of the album, since we can see someone who is totally lost but don't want to stop believing. Definetely, something that should be wondered by many of us. The Japanese bonus track, Satellite, shows all the fusion side which can make us sure that Richie has not lost his instrumental side which for me sounds very similar to the great "Tilt" ( Richie Kotzen and Greg Howe's album).

After doing all the listening, I am curious to know what is coming next in Richie Kotzen's career, because he surprises us every single album.
