Hello 6 strings army!!! Here we are with our second transcriptions and this month i bring to you guys one of the masters of "melodic-progressive" metal: Mr Michael Romeo from Symphony X. In the track "inferno - unleash the fire" ( from "The odyssey" album - 2002) the holy influences from Yngwie malmsteen stay very clear. the main riff reminds me the main theme from the opus 5 from "trilogy" album. But Mr Romeo Knows the Difference beetween copy and infuences very well and goes beyond abusing from odd time signatures and very insane string skipping/two hand tapping licks like the second solo!!! try to hear the song togheter with the score ( like following that little ball in old tv cartoons) it helps a lot to undestrand better the score. odd sognatures can be very strange if your'e not familiar with, so start very slow and raise the speed slowly . You can use a slowing down software like the "amazing slow downer" from roni music.

Bom Galera das 6 cordas!!! estamos em nossa segunda transcrição e e esse mês trago pra voces um dos mestres do Metal "melódico progressivo", Mr Michael Romeo do Symphony X!! nota-se claramente nessa musica do album conceitual " The Odysssey" de 2002, a infuencia de Yngwie Malmsteen na faixa "Inferno - Unleash The Fire". o riff inicial me lembra um pouco o famoso tema do opus 5 do "sueco voador" presente no disco "Trilogy" de mil novcentos e "eu era magro"!!!

Mas Mr Romeo sabe muito bem infuenciar-se sem plagiar e esse petardo progmetal abusa da poliritimia, então bantante atenção nas contagens dos compassos. aconselho que vc tente "contar" os compassos junto com a tablatura antes de cair pra guitarra, sobretudo se você não esta acostumado com paertitura e/ou com a poliritmia. no solo, Romeo tira suas cartas da manga e mostra um fraseado próprio com riffs insanos envolvendo saltos de corda e two hands tapping. masi uma vez fica a veha dica, treine devagar é só depois aumente a velocidade. vc pode usar um software que diminui a velocidade da música sem alterar o tom da mesma para praticar. um bom exemplo é o "amazing slow downer" da roni music. até mÊs que vem!!!!
