Review of Michael Angelo Batio guitar clinic at Nemesis Guitar School
Nemesis Guitar School is a prestigious music school in the city of Kavala, Greece, lead by a tremendous musician called Kostas Paraskevas (who is a columnist for Guitar Clinic!). He has organized a lot of clinics, with Kiko Loureiro, Marcinho Eiras, Gus g, Stef Burns, Patrick Rondat and now it was the time for the furious shredder Michael Angelo Batio!
The clinic was received with great enthusiasm as there were about 140 people in the venue! Michael Angelo started the clinic with his latest version of Deep Purple's "Burn", found in his latest album "Hands without shadows". A lot of classics like "No boundaries" and "Prog" followed.
In the middle of the clinic, we had a chance to ask him questions about his technique and his reversed-hand style. He gave an insight about sweeping and tapping and then he played a really nice "Led Zeppelin" cover.
Finally, when MAB finished the enthusiasm of the crowd made him play two more songs, finishing with a furious barrage of alternate picking sixies!!
Generally, MAB is a great player and an even more exciting showman. He amazed the audience and made this clinic a very big success.
