Eric Martin in São Paulo

by Rafael Nery

On April 25TH 2007 at Blackmore Rock Bar, people in São Paulo attended the show of the singer Eric Martin (Mr.Big,TMG,EMB) which was coming back for the first time since his first and unique concert in Brazil more than 10 years ago. Blackmore opened the doors at 10:00 pm and it was getting crowded to full.

At 11:00 pm the band from São Paulo, Tempestt , started the opening show playing song from, their new-released album including the cover for "Stand Up and Shout" a hit from the movie RockStar. The highest point of this concert was the singer BJ who knew how to make people get crazy and still show his potential as a singer.

Around midnight, Eric got on the stage being welcomed by people there. He was with the band formed by Pablo, Charlie e Christian. Then the first chords were played of "Daddy, Brother, Lover and little boy" from Learn into it album which made the audience get crazy. The concert went on with "Wonderland", "Voodoo Kiss" and "Going where the wind blows" this one sang along with the audience. Soon after came "Superfantastic" to remember the moments from "Get Over it" album which in the time of its release, it had a nice repercussion in Japan.

Eric, always very attemptive, talked to the audience during the show which brought a special atmosphere to the concert. The concert also included hits like "Temperamental","30 in the hole", "Wild World" and the biggest hit from Mr.Big's historically called "To be with you". For the Bis, the guitarist Christian Vidal played an awesome guitar solo and they finished the concert with the song "Take a Walk".

Congratulations to Sounds and Jams for the initiative and for doing one of the biggest hard rock events of the year.
