Prashant Aswani is a rock fusion guitar player from Los Angeles who has already released a couple of albums.He has already worked/played with artists such as Greg Howe, Hancock, Frank Gambale, Brett Garsed, Michael Angelo, Darrell Diaz, and Ronu Majumdar.He also endorses Esp Guitars.
I had the chance to listen to his songs on his myspace page. The first one "The Long Road Home" has an incredible mood and which reminded me a lot Greg howe's style, except for the indian touch in the beggining.Maybe the reason for this would be the fact of having Greg Howe as the producer of the album. Besides that the result is incredible, with outside licks and awesome ideas.Definetely a more than interesting track.
Fusion ideas on the tracks "Rugburn", "Nevin Terrace" and "Switch" make you understand how unique this Guitar Player is. To end the full of swing "Traffic Jam" comes up with some unxepected effects and licks.
Unfortanely, I have no space enough on this column to write about each detail of each song, but I can definetely say that Prashant is one of the best guitar players I have already heard.
