Demo - Gus Drax
Gus Drax is a shredder from Greece. His influences mainly come from Heavy Metal music and Electric guitar virtuosos. His biggest influence seems to be John Petrucci, something that can be assumed by the Signature guitar that Gus plays and by his song, featured in this month’s issue. The song is called “Abnormal sequence” and it is a mix of heavy riffing with dominant Phrygian harmonies and soft parts.
The song is full of fast picking runs ,fast yet clean sweeped arpeggios and some melodic leads in the end.There is a guest solo played by a friend of Gus named Aris from the band “Innocence” as well. To sum up, Gus has great and impressive technique and nice ideas.
Our advice is to write more songs and maybe add some other instruments to the songs as well.
