Demo Tape - Patrick Vega
Patrick Vega is a guitar player from Austria who nowadays live in the USA (Los Angeles, CA).He has been releasing his first album by his own label named Freefall Faith Firestorm.
On the record Patrick did all the guitar and bass parts and he also was the responsible for the Synth and Drum Programming, in other words he did all the album by himself what is really cool to see that he was able to compose and create arrangements for the whole instruments.
On his myspace page you can find a Full Length song named War Party which gets started really heavy like a progressive metal band such as Dream Theater , but what I really like was the talk box guitar effect and all those "swingful" parts. I believe Patrick found a way all the heavy mood with the swing of full players and this sounds totally unique.
There are two small samples of the songs Camael and No One , Camael is full of dissonance and sounds impressive added to effects displayed along the song and No One reminds me Kiko Loureiro ballad styles with a really beatiful melody.
Patrick is definitely a great player and I think his songs will get some good recognition, so it worths listening!
