This time, I'll show a sweep lick and teach how to pile chords or triads . Key=Em It is the tetrads of Em7(E-G-B-D) , and then F#m(F#-A-C)is piled on Em7. At this point, you should pay attention to all sound. The sound should get like E dorian.(E-F#-G-A-B-C#-D) And it returns Em7,and F#m. The next one is important. Next chord is C#m75).Because C#m7 contains C#(this is character note of E dorian) and E(this is root of Em) and G( this is 3rd of Em) and B(this is 5th of Em), it sounds like E dorian by itself on Em key .The next chord is GM7(G-B-D-F#).This contains D and F# ,so they are 7th and 9t when we play from Em. The last chord is Bm7. E dorian original scale is Bm scale. So I used it at last. This time, I explained the theory. However, you should try to make licks or phrases by your own !! Theoretical things or explanation will follow your sense. Ex-1 is lick on tempo. Ex-2 is lick on half tempo. I think to practice same lick by changing beat or speed is very important things.
