One of the examples shown on Richie Kotzen's Rock Chops video is the following:
We only pick downwards, using sweep technique. Only the notes indicated with a square are picked. By doing so, this example becomes a very tricky legato exercise. When descending, there are no picked notes.
Nothing new so far, right? But I used to like this exercise's sound so much that I have applied it to every interval of the Major scale.
