Hello folks! On the last class we saw a little about legato, studying exercises in a mechanical way, paying attention to the technical conditioning and some ways of applying them inside scales. In this class we'll get more concerned about using the legatos in some patterns inside the scales. For the 1st example, we will use G Mixolydean scale with a pattern of 3 notes per string. In this example we have a simple 3 beats compass and the rhythm value is in triplets. Pick only the 1st note of each string. On the 2nd example, we'll study the legatos once more on the pentatonics, where we'll use a triplets pattern again. Those patterns can be applied on every scale that is structured In 3 notes per string (ex. 1) and with 2 notes per string (ex. 2). Well, folks, I hope you all have enjoyed our second class and in case of having any doubts, you can get in touch via my e-mail. See ya next time!!! A great hug!! Rodrigo Kobo |
