Well, this month I’ll talk about one of my favorite topic, ‘tetrads arpeggios”.

I like these a lot because they sound sophisticated if use it right.

The tetrads are built with the Root, 3rd, 5th and 7th.

All the existent tetrads are:

Tetrads:

-Major 7M                          Root    3M    5J    7M               C7M

-Major 7                              Root    3M    5J    7m               C7

-minor 7M                           Root    3m    5J    7M               Cm7M

-minor 7                               Root    3m    5J    7m               Cm7

-Half-diminished                 Root    3m    b5    7m               Cm7 (b5)

-Diminished                         Root    3M    b5    7M

-Augmented                         Root    3M    #5    7M             C7M (#5)

The following examples I’ll use just “Major 7M” and “minor 7” arpeggios, but it’s necessary to use all the tetrads.

Ex 01:

Ex 02: Here I’m using the 9th with.

Ex 03: Now the 13th.

Ex 04:

Ex 05: I recorded this in one of my songs called “Green Eyes”.

Well, have fun...   see ya.
