Hello friends musicians first of all , I would like to wish a happy new year to everyone, as it is the beginning  of year, I also decided to begin different, in the previous months I talked a little about walking bass for guitar, I gave ready examples, on that month I will speak as setting up the walking of you vary ways for you to choose your best road. 
Before beginning, I just want to remind that the guitar is an instrument of countless possibilities and a road that is only doesn't exist or " the exact walking for certain wakes up " then it is important to know where wants to arrive and with which sonority, to do the best choice. 
That month, I will speak on how to ratiocinate on top of the chords, that serves so much to set up a walking as to develop a theme or a surprise. 
 
 
We will imagine a simple harmony with two chords to begin: 
 
EX:    Dm7     G7 
 
We have two very common chords, to begin in an easy way it is better to look for the harmonic field that holds the two chords. 
With that we have the harmonic field of C major, where Dm7 is II and G7 it is V, which us of the one D dórian and a G mixolídian, tends those two scales it is enough to set up the walking for each chord with your certain scale. 
 
Important: those scales are part of the scale of C major, therefore, there won't be dissonances in the chords. 
If you seek a more dissonant sonority, it should have used other scales for each chord, as for instance: 
 
EX:    Dm7      G7 

Use D melodic minor or D harmonic minor on top of G7 to prepare the turn, that will already bring an interesting sonority.
