Going on, passed month I suggested a portion of scales to be played over the harmony:
/ / / / / / / / / / / / / / / /
Ebmaj7 D7 - Eb5aum/9 Cm74 - Cm69 - G alt
This time we will see each scale separately:
The suggested scales were:
Jonian mode
Diminished scale
Minor melódic scale
Eólian mode
Dorian mode
Altered scale
Analyzing each scale separately! We have:
Jonian mode as we knew it is the first mode of the major scale
Ex: C D E F G A B
Diminished scale it is composed by T and ST , in other words, it is a symmetrical scale, it has eight notes and half tone the front originates another scale.
Ex: C Db Eb E F# G A Bb
Minor melodic scale it has the following intervals:
Ex: C D Eb F G A B
Eólian mode it has the following intervals:
Ex: C D Eb F G Ab Bb
Dórian mode it has the following intervals:
Ex: C D Eb F G A Bb
Altered scale is the same that the melodic minor scale,it is just played starting from the seventh degree.
Ex: B C D Eb F G A
Until next month, hugs!
