Check up : Fender Stratocaster Traditional
Hi everybody, my name is André Luis, I´m a Strings G3 cover´s guitar player, I´m Yngwie Malmteen´s cover, and first of all I´d like to say it´s a honor to contribute here in “check up” column of ths site I believe that is so important for all of guitar players, including beginners and advanced ones.
For those who appreciate a VINTAGE sound, Fender Stratocaster American Traditional is just so perfect. You can take a ruge variation from treble to bass hardly other guitar could make keeping so cristalin vintage stamp. It´s all about a guitar that accept very well heavy distortions with high gain level, very saturated overdrives, an unic blues drive with high definition, totally cristalin clean sounds… in other words, an extreme versatile guitar, keeping a powerfull vintage sound.
A good shot to get a better sound from Fender Stratocaster American Traditional series is changing the bridge and neck pickups for HS-3 Dimarzio´s pickups. You can saturate the middle and bass of your equalizator without a mess sound, I mean, a very saturated sound and incrediable cristalin at te same time. Just to establish a comparison, with this combination I can extract the same sound from Roland Grapow (ex-Helloween, Masterplan nowadays) and Eric Clapton.
